Hospitality and Tourism - Wake up in the City

Reducing surplus waste.  Local professional and fully trained volunteers collect and distribute to people local in need daily/weekly/monthly/On alert.

Hospitality and food service sector generates around 1.3 Billon tonned of food waste annually

The hospitality industry, including hotels and restaurants, contributes significantly to global food waste.
By partnering with the CSR Way Programme, we help turn surplus food into a powerful opportunity to feed people in need.

Buffets, events, and special occasions often result in overstocking and excess food that might otherwise go to waste. Through our Looprun Back to Us initiative, volunteers collect and distribute surplus bakery items, cakes, fruit, and vegetables (excluding ready-made meals) within the local community. These efforts are tracked and shared on our social media platform, Oobaling, seven days later — showcasing your positive impact with full transparency.

Not only does this support your CSR goals, but it also helps nourish those in need right in your own area.

For businesses working toward total zero waste, we also offer consultancy to help set up your own anaerobic digestion (AD) plant. This allows unavoidable food waste to be converted into organic compost — which can be used on your property or picked up by local farmers — creating a sustainable, closed-loop ecosystem from plate to soil.

We Collect Overstocked Food Items

We partner with hotels, bakeries, and food retailers to collect overstocked or surplus food. This includes:

  • Bakery goods: Breads, cakes, pastries

  • Fresh produce: Vegetables and fruits

  • Unopened items: Sachets and packaged goods

By redirecting quality surplus food that might otherwise go to waste, we help reduce food waste and support your sustainability efforts — contributing directly to your CSR goals.
